The next step is choosing the soundtrack to use for the song.

To load the soundtrack, click the **Browse** button and navigate to the audio file you want to use.

After the file is loaded, its name and playback time will be displayed in the wizard window. Karaoke CD+G Creator can use WAV and MP3 files as soundtracks.

## Remove Vocals

PowerWizard allows you to remove vocals from the song. More information on removing vocals can be found in the [Removing vocals](https://docs.powerkaraoke.com/books/ai-karaoke-cdg-creator-user-manual/page/removing-vocals) section.

To proceed to the next step, click the **Next** button.

## Lyrics

Now it is time to provide lyrics for the song.

![image](https://docs.powerkaraoke.com/uploads/images/gallery/2024-11/scaled-1680-/jlMimage.png)

There are several ways to add lyrics to the song. You may:

- Type lyrics in (you may listen to the song as you type -- use the **Play** button to control playback).
- Use web search for lyrics; Karaoke CD+G Creator automatically opens a browser window and searches using provided details (song title and artist name). More on lyrics search can be found in the "Search for lyrics on the web" section.
- Paste lyrics from the clipboard (select lyrics in a web browser or text editor, copy them, and paste into Karaoke CD+G Creator).
- Import lyrics from a text file.

To proceed to the next step, click the **Next** button.

---

## Synchronizing Lyrics

This step is the most challenging in the process of creating a karaoke song. You must synchronize the lyrics to the music.

![image](https://docs.powerkaraoke.com/uploads/images/gallery/2024-11/scaled-1680-/9Akimage.png)

During synchronization, Karaoke CD+G Creator highlights words one by one. Your task is to tap the space bar when the word is sung. To start synchronizing, press the **Start synchronizing** button. When finished, click **Done** or press the `Enter` key.

Check the synchronization by clicking the **Test** button and adjust if needed.

### Tips for Synchronization:

- Use the speed control to slow playback (e.g., 0.5 speed).
- Use the **Go Back** button if you miss the beat; the **Rewind** button rewinds playback but doesn’t move highlighting.
- If working on a new song, synchronize it from start to finish, then do it again for better accuracy.
- Refer to the "Advanced synchronization" section for more tips.

To proceed to the next step, click the **Next** button.

## Wizard Is Done

The wizard is complete — most of the work is done.

![image](https://docs.powerkaraoke.com/uploads/images/gallery/2024-11/scaled-1680-/apEimage.png)

Now you have three choices:

1. **Apply a visual style to the song** — Opens the **Styles** dialog for applying song templates.
2. **Adjust synchronization or edit the song** — Fine-tune the song, edit lyrics, or fix synchronization errors.
3. **Create file** — Takes you directly to file creation.

If **Save the song before continuing** is checked, you’ll be prompted to save the song. Karaoke CD+G Creator saves songs in PK3 files. Note: Saving files is disabled in demo mode.

## Playing Karaoke CD+G Files

Karaoke CD+G Creator has Power CD+G Player included, so you may test your creation. However we recommend [Siglos Karaoke Player/Recorder](https://www.powerkaraoke.com/src/prod_siglos-karaoke-player-recorder.php) for CD+G playback.
