Drag and drop your MP3 file into the program window. 3. Select **Start AI Synchronization** when prompted. AI Synchronization** **AI Synchronization** window will open [![image.png](https://docs.powerkaraoke.com/uploads/images/gallery/2024-11/scaled-1680-/4mLimage.png)](https://docs.powerkaraoke.com/uploads/images/gallery/2024-11/4mLimage.png) 1. **AI Synchronization Window Overview**: - **Song Details**: The program extracts these automatically from the MP3 file. - **Lyrics**: - If embedded in the MP3 file, they load automatically. - If not, download the lyrics from the web or paste them manually. **Tip**: Ensure the lyrics match the song exactly for accurate synchronization. 2. **Set Parameters**: - **Vocal Remover**: - Choose **Normal** for faster results or **Best** for higher quality. - **Synchronization**: - **Normal**: Fastest option; suitable for quick tasks. - **Detailed**: Recommended for the best results (slightly slower). - **Alternate**: Use if "Detailed" doesn't give ideal results. 3. **Project Folder**: - Choose where to save the project. - The program auto-generates a name based on the artist and title. 4. Optional: Fine-tune settings using the **Settings** button (defaults work well for most cases). 5. Click **OK** to start processing. **Processing Time**: - On an i5 processor: 2–3x the song length. - On an i9 processor: About 2x the song length. - With a GPU: Around 1/5th of the song length. --- ### **3. Use **Play** button to listen to the song and check if lyrics are synchronized. - Preview the song’s **Primary Track (Original Song)**, **Vocal Removed (Music Only)**, and **Vocal Only (Singing Only)** tracks. - Listen to the **vocal-only track** for precise alignment. --- ### **5. Create the Video** 1. Click the **Create Video File** button. Click **OK**. **Processing Time**: This should take about half of the song playback time for Full HD video. --- ### **6. After the file is loaded, its name and playback time will displayed in the wizard window. Karaoke Creator can use WAV and MP3 files as soundtracks. #### *Remove Vocals* PowerWizard allows to remove vocals from the song. You may: · type lyrics in (you may listen to the song as you type -- use **Play** button to control the playback) · use web search for lyrics; Karaoke Creator automatically opens browser window and runs search using provided details (song title and artist name); more on lyrics search can be found in section Search for lyrics on the web · paste lyrics from the clipboard (you may select the lyrics in web browser or text editor, copy it, and then paste it into Karaoke Creator) · import lyrics from the text file To proceed to the next step click **Next** button. #### *Synchronizing lyrics* This step is the most difficult in the whole process of karaoke song creation. You have to synchronize the lyrics to the music. It is not simple and takes some experience to achieve. To start synchronizing press **Start synchronizing** button. The first word in the song will become highlighted and the song will start to play. When the song reaches the highlighted word, press Space key on your keyboard. The highlighting will move to the next word and so on. To mark the end of the word (usually before the long instrumental break) press Ctrl key. When you are done (ie. all words have been synchronized press Enter key or click **Done** button). Now you need to check how good job have you done. To do this click **Test** button and see if the words highlight correctly during playback. Please note that if you have not done perfect job you may adjust synchronization later (see Adjusting synchronization section). As you have probably noticed synchronizing lyrics is not an easy task. Here are hints that can make your life easier: · use speed control to decrease the playback speed; if you select 0.5 the playback will be two times slower · use **Go Back** button if you miss the beat; **Rewind** buttons rewinds the playback, but does not move highlighting · if you are working on a new song, synchronize it from start till end, and then do it once more; second pass will be much better · see **Advanced synchronization** for synchronization tips To proceed to the next step click **Next** button. ** *Wizard is done*** The wizard is complete -- most of the work is done. You may: · **Apply a visual style to the song** -- this button will open **Styles** dialog that will allow you to use one of song templates · **Adjust synchronization or edit the song** -- choosing this option will let you to fine tune the song, edit lyrics, or fix synchronization errors · **Create file** will take you directly to file creation If **Save the song before continuing** is checked, you will be prompted to save the song. Karaoke Creator saves song in PK3 files. Note that saving files is disabled in demo mode. #### *AI Karaoke Video Creator main window* Now it is a good time to learn about the main window of AI Karaoke Video Creator. To open **Video Settings** dialog box, click **Video Settings** button on the toolbar or select **Video Settings** command from the **Create** menu. When you are satisfied with the way text looks, click **OK**. #### *Create Video File* Now we are ready to create a video file. For the simplicity lets leave the settings with their default values. MP4 file will be created. #### *Playing karaoke videos* Karaoke Video Creator creates regular AVI files that can be played with any multimedia player on your system (including Windows Media Player) and on some standalone players (usually with DivX capability). You can also use [Karaoke DVD Burner](http://www.powerkaraoke.com/src/prod-karaoke-dvd-burner.php) to create a DVD disc from your videos. # Import an existing CD+G file {{@317}} # Create songs with duets Karaoke Creator gives you the tools to create professional duets. Soundtrack and lyrics can be found in **Examples** subfolder of My Karaoke folder in Documents. Please create a new song by clicking on **New** button on the toolbar or selecting **New** command from **File** menu. If you are using PowerWizard, select **Create a new song from scratch (without PowerWizard)** on the first wizard screen. Now load the soundtrack using **Load soundtrack** button on the toolbar. The soundtrack file is `brother john.mp3`. Then load the lyrics from the text file -- use **Import lyrics** toolbar button or **Import lyrics from a text file** command from **File** menu. Lyrics file is `brother john.txt`. You may save the first version of the song at this point. As you have probably noticed the song lyrics consists of 5 repeated verses, while the music contains the same verse 4 times only. We will start with both singers singing the first verse together, then Singer 1 will sing two verses with Singer 2 joining in, but half of the verse later. And the last verse will be sung together by both. To assign lyrics to singers we will use **Duet Wizard**. {{@216}} ##### *Synchronization* Now it is time to synchronize the lyrics. {{@218}} ##### *Settings* {{@219}} ##### *Create file* We are nearly done. All that is left is to create a video file and to see if everything plays correctly. This is important, as sometimes, because of synchronization errors, some text may overlap. To create a video file click **Create Video File** toolbar button. You may leave all settings at default values -- simply click OK and see the result. Please observe that the content of the preview window changes as you change the position of the cursor in the lyrics editor -- it always displays the page cursor is currently at. --- *TIP: If your computer is slow, rendering preview make take a long time and your work will be uncomfortable. This window allows to preview how lyrics will look in the result video. --- ##### USING STYLES {{@201}} --- ##### MODYFYING VIDEO SETTINGS Usually you will want to adjust video parameters to your liking. To open **Video Settings** dialog box click **Video Settings** button on the toolbar or select **Video Settings **command from **Create** menu. {{@214}} ##### DISPLAY MODES Karaoke Video Creator has 4 display modes. ***Page by page*** will result in the standard paged display. Full page of lyrics is displayed, and when it is fully highlighted, a new page is presented. ***Overwrite*** will disable the screen erasing and the new words will overwrite the already sang. ***Scrolled*** mode will generate the long flow of text that will move upwards. ***Half by half*** mode causes lyrics to appear in turns on the top and on the bottom half of the screen --- ##### WRITING VIDEO FILES Click **Create Video File** button on the toolbar or select **Create Video File **command from **Create** menu. You may also press F2 key on the keyboard. Credits are displayed after the song is finished. * **Tip: **To force a new line in Title, Artist, or Company name fields, use ^ character.* ***What is style?*** Karaoke Creator allows to set styles for: · **Title**: image displayed before the song · **Credits**: image displayed after the song is finished · **Song**: colors, text formatting, page layout, and image (in Pro version only) of the lyrics Each of this styles can be applied individually, or it is possible to use presets. **Style preset** combo box allows to select one of predefined templates. It will change all styles in **Applied styles**. You may store your combination of Title, Song, and Credit styles using **Add** button. To save changed combination use **Save** button. **Delete** button removes your preset from the list. **Applied styles** lists styles used for each of the sections of the song. To change the style select it in **Applied styles** list and then choose the new style from **Available styles** combo. Selecting ***(Unused)*** will disable the style. **Style editor** button starts [Style Editor dialog box](https://docs.powerkaraoke.com/books/ai-karaoke-video-creator-user-manual/page/style-editor "Style editor") which allows you to create your own styles. **Preview** window displays the preview of the style selected in **Applied styles** list. Selected styles will be applied to the song when you select **OK** button. To continue with the tutorial select **Rock** style preset and click **OK** button. # Getting results # AI Synchronization #### Overview The AI Synchronization tool allows users to synchronize song audio with lyrics to create karaoke files. This tool uses artificial intelligence audio processing techniques to generate high-quality outputs, including options for removing vocals and detailed processing. Parts sung by both singers are displayed in the same manner as the lyrics in non-duets song. But when Karaoke Video Creator finds duet part, it divides the screen into two parts and displays lyrics for singer 1 at the top, and lyrics for singer 2 at the bottom (see image above). You may change the text properties, colors, and display images anywhere in the song. These extra options are available by the means of events. Event is executed after the preceding word is painted or highlighted (it depends of the event, eg. Clear screen is triggered after highlighting, while Colors event during painting). This behavior may be changed for Set Background events, for which you may choose exact time of activation. You work with events in the lyrics editor. They are displayed as boxes with text describing the type of the event. Events can be edited. **To edit an event** double-click it in the lyrics editor or right-click it and select **Event Properties** command from pop-up menu. Events can be deleted like other text. There is one more editing feature available for events -- you may copy event and insert it in some other place in the song. to do this right-click an event to copy and select **Copy Event** command. Now right-click in the place you want the copy of the event to appear and select **Paste Event** command from pop-up menu. --- ##### CLEAR SCREEN EVENT {{@223}} If scrolling display mode is selected, after clearing the screen lyrics will painted from the top of the screen. --- ##### COLORS EVENT {{@224}} --- ##### COUNTDOWN EVENT {{@225}} --- ##### DISPLAY IMAGE EVENT Display Image event allows to display the image on the screen. In regular version of Karaoke Video Creator duet mode changes the coloring and alignment of the text to visualize the change of a singer. With full duet mode enabled duets can be parallel. The upper part of the screen is taken by Singer 1, and the lower by Singer 2. The lyrics for each of the singers are highlighted independently. Only Singer 1 and Singer 2 modes are available -- for Both Karaoke Video Creator uses global settings for the song (as defined in [Video Settings dialog box](https://docs.powerkaraoke.com/link/11#bkmrk-modyfying-video-sett)). **Color** and **Highlight** allows you to change the color of the text assigned to the selected mode, while **Alignment** controls the alignment of the text assigned to the selected mode. The duet settings are global for the song. --- *Note: Colors and Text settings flags overwrite the duet settings.* --- --- ##### SET BACKGROUND EVENT This event allows to change the background of the karaoke video. You may display an image (BMP, JPG, or PNG) or a movie (AVI or MP4). If the current background is a movie you will see a first frame of the movie. ***New background*** This window displays the new background. Use Browse button to find the file you would like to display. You may use still images (BMP, JPG, and PNG formats are supported) or videos (MP4, AVI, MPEG, WMV). ***Transition*** Transition defines a way how the background will change from one to another. Several options are possible, you may also define the duration of the transition. To change the background immediately set the duration to zero. ***Preview*** Here you can see how the transition will look like. When to display This is an advanced feature that allows to define the exact time of background change. By default new background is applied after the word preceding it has been sung. You may change this by selecting **When next word begins**. It is also possible to define time offset to be applied -- for instance selecting '10' will cause the background to be changed ten seconds after the word has been sung (or 10 seconds before the next word will be sung, if **When next word begins** is selected). --- ##### TEXT SETTINGS EVENT Text Settings event allows to modify the properties of the text. It also has shortcuts for adding title and credits screen. The following formats are supported by Karaoke Video Creator: BMP (Windows bitmaps) JPG PNG To invoke the file selection dialog box select **Browse** button. Credits image is displayed at the end of the song, when the singing stops. To define title and credit images open **Video Settings** dialog box click **Video Settings** button on the toolbar or select **Video Settings **command from **Create** menu. ***Images*** This group of options allows to select the pictures that are to appear before the song and after the song. By default these pictures are disabled. To display title image select **Title** checkbox and then click on **Settings **button. **Display image** dialog box will appear. There are three possible options for background. **AVI** Windows video file format. Use to play on computer or on DivX-capable players

If **Run default video player when done** Karaoke Video Creator will open the newly created file and play it using system's default player for AVI files.. **Compression** [![image.png](https://docs.powerkaraoke.com/uploads/images/gallery/2024-12/scaled-1680-/I5qimage.png)](https://docs.powerkaraoke.com/uploads/images/gallery/2024-12/I5qimage.png) ***Video*** This section defines video compression and frame rate. **Compression** button allows to choose from video encoders that are installed in the system. With MP4 and MPEG encoding selected you may choose one of the predefined encoding presets or choose custom format and adjust all encoding parameters. You may change MP3 encoding parameters with **Settings** button. Choosing ACM allows to choose from Audio Compression Manager codecs installed on your computer. Use **Settings** button to select the encoder and adjust the parameters. **Display** [![image.png](https://docs.powerkaraoke.com/uploads/images/gallery/2025-03/scaled-1680-/1A2image.png)](https://docs.powerkaraoke.com/uploads/images/gallery/2025-03/1A2image.png) ***Width/Height*** Defines the resolution of the created video. **Set text area** button allows to define which part of the video should be used to display lyrics. You may use **Common sizes** list to quickly select one of common resolutions. ***Display mode*** You may also select the text display mode. Choosing ***Page by page*** will result in the standard paged display. ***Overwrite*** will disable the screen erasing and the new words will overwrite the already sang. And ***Scrolled*** mode will generate the long flow of text that will move upwards with the highlighted line always in the middle. **Half by half** will cause lyrics to appear in turns at the top and at the bottom half of the screen. Mode information on display modes can be found in [Display modes](#Display_modes) section. ***Squeeze text and do not break lines*** When this option is selected Karaoke Video Creator will not break lines -- it will resize it horizontally so every line fits the screen. This may help placing the text in the song, but if the lines are too long may decrease the readability of the text. ***Vertical alignment*** Allows to change the placement of the lines of the text. You may select Center, Top, or Bottom which would place the text at the appropriate part of the screen, or choose Space evenly, which makes sure that the first line is at the top, the last at the bottom, and all the spaces between the lines are equal. ***Additional line spacing*** The number of pixels to insert between the lines. ***Horizontal alignment*** This setting controls the way the individual lines of text are placed. You have the choice of Center, Left, and Right. ***Additional letter spacing*** The number of pixels to insert between every letter in words. ***Font*** This setting specifies which font will be used for the lyrics and how large the letters should be. If you are trading you PK2 files make sure that you use fonts that are installed on the destination computer. ***Colors*** Allows to change the background, border and text color. Simply choose the appropriate color from the list or use More button to select the custom color. ***Lines per screen*** Allows to specify the maximum number of lines to be shown. Note that if the font size is too large, the actual number of lines may be lower. ***Number of highlighted lines to keep*** If using scrolling or overwrite display mode this parameter controls the number of lines that have already been sung but are not erased yet. ***Outline/Shadow*** This values control the effect added to the text. Setting them to zero disables the effect. The color of the text effects can be set in Colors dialog box. ***Word fade time*** To make the video look better words are faded in when displaying and faded out when erasing. This value controls the time fade takes. ***Line scroll time*** This value defines the time used to scroll the lyrics in scrolling display mode. ***Highlight mode*** Here you can select whether word should be simply swept with the color or somewhat nicer 'fade' effect should be used. ***Gradient*** To make the lyrics look better %APPNAME% applies gradient effect to the text it displays. This setting allows to control the intensity of the effect. ***Apply blur*** If you would like to blur the final image, you may define the level of blur to apply. ***Pan background images with aspect ratio above X*** If an image selected for the background is at least twice as wide as it is tall, %APPNAME% will scroll it from left to right and back. This creates a very nice visual effect. You may define the speed of the animation. We have provided a set of wide images to use as backgrounds, they are installed with the program. ***Line introductions *** When enabled, a moving element will appear before the line should be sung and will advance from the edge of the screen to the first word in the line ***Smart page breaks*** Pages will be changed during the longest pauses between the lines ***Make lyrics uppercase*** Lyrics will be converted to the uppercase letters, but they will not be modified in the editor **Title/Credits** This group of options allows to select the pictures that are to appear before the song and after the song. By default these pictures are disabled. To invoke the preset select if from a pop-down list. To delete the existing preset use Delete button. If you would like to use current settings every time you start the program, click **Use current as default** button. You may also revert to this saved default settings using **Reset to default** button. It is also possible to revert settings to factory defaults. # Import CD+G One of the most exciting features of Karaoke Creator is the ability to import existing CD+G songs. This allows you to re-edit commercial editions of karaoke songs with endless possibilities — change fonts and images, fix broken characters, modify lyrics, or create parodies. Karaoke Creator imports both lyrics and synchronization, so the most cumbersome part of song creation is already done, leaving you to focus on the fun. To import a CD+G song, select the **Import CD+G File** command from the **File** menu or click the **Import CD+G File** button on the toolbar. Two file formats are supported: **CDG** and **BIN**. If you use a **CDG** file, Karaoke Creator will automatically look for an **MP3** file of the same name and use it as a soundtrack. If the **Insert 'Clear Screen' events automatically** option is checked, Karaoke Creator will detect when the entire screen is erased in the CD+G song and will insert 'Clear Screen' events at the same places in the imported song. This helps maintain text flow for page-by-page songs. The import process may take a while (up to half a minute on a slower computer). Once completed, you will see the imported lyrics in the lyrics editor. Please check for spelling mistakes, as some characters may be recognized incorrectly. --- **NOTE**: 1. Not every song can be imported. Duets are not supported, and songs using scrolling will not import. 2. Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is not perfect and may occasionally make errors. Please check the lyrics for spelling mistakes.
