Adjusting program settings

To adjust Karaoke Creator settings, select Settings from the Tools menu.

  • Lyrics Editor

    • Lyrics editor font: Choose the font used in lyrics editor, this matters when using complex character sets
    • Cursor width (pixels)
    • Current code page:Tthis will be used to convert text files
    • Right-to-left reading order: Change to switch to right-to-left writing mode
    • Color scheme: Use this button to open the Lyrics editor colors window, where you can edit the colors used in the lyrics editor. You can choose from predefined schemes or define and save your own. Lyrics Editor Colors

  • Soundtrack View This section defines the look of the panel on the left side of the screen where the current soundtrack is displayed

    • Label font: The font used to display the labels over the soundtrack
    • Pointer width (pixels): Width of the soundtrack pointer
    • Label detection sensitivity: When moving a mouse, labels will be detected when cursor is within this distance

  • General

    • Update events when changing settings: When you change settings like resolution or colors, all events used in song will be scanned and updated

  • Synchronization

    • Synchronization response delay (ms): When synchronizing, this time will be subtracted from the time you actually press a space bar
    • Synchronization preview accuracy (times per second): This controls how ofter the text will be updated when playing back
    • Disable cursor update during playback: When enabled, cursor will not move
    • Don't change position when selecting word: By default, when you click on a word in lyrics editor, cursor will move in the soundtrack to the beginning of that word. You can disable it.
    • Loop playback when dragging labels: During playback, when you click and drag a label in a soundtrack view, playback will loop around the position you are dragging
    • Margin before label (seconds): 1.0
    • Margin after label (seconds): 0.5

  • Updates

    • Check for updates
    • Check for news
    • Check for updates now: Click here to check for updates immediately

  • Varia

    • Animate shortcut bar
    • Run song wizard on startup
    • Convert MP3 to temporary WAV files: You may automatically convert all MP3 files to WAV
    • Prompt to change to vocal removed for karaoke: No
    • When dropping MP3 file: You may choose between loading a soundtrack and starting AI synchronization
    • Show message for removing duet clear screens: No
